Career-Related Skills

I’ve been working in web application development since 1996. With a fine arts background, I taught myself Photoshop, which quickly led to learning HTML and building web pages. In 2000, I entered the e-learning industry as an instructional designer and developer. Since then, I’ve worn many hats in my career and have mastered a lot of different skills. These skills allow me to build web applications from start to finish: UI/UX research, wireframing, prototyping, designing assets and styleguides, building frontend applications, designing backend databases, conducting usability studies, optimizing for search engines, deploying, and gathering metrics about user behavior through heatmapping, A/B testing, and site analytics.
