Ristretto is a stop motion photography film I created for a 2D Animation project.
Ristretto: Italian (caffè) ristretto, literally ‘restricted (coffee)’ – the title is a play on words. It refers to both a type of coffee and the film’s main storyline: restricting one’s self from having coffee.
Stop motion is an animation technique in which the subject is manipulated in between photographs to give the appearance of movement once the frames are spliced together. This film was comprised from over 8,000 photographs.
